The Burnside LCR uses the T910 FCT which has in addition to a wireless connection to the GSM network also a connection to the landline PSTN network. This enables outgoing calls to both networks. In order to avoid a manual selection of the outgoing route simple least cost routing has been implemented in the T910. To program the T910 for use in the UK the user simply enters the prefix of all UK mobile numbers which is "07". From then on all calls except those beginning "07" are routed via the landline connection.
This feature is particularly useful for those who have legacy PBXs that are incapable of automatically routing calls to mobiles via trunks connected to FCTs.
